start@k pitch night 2

Hi, dear readers. 19/11/2020 I attended Start@K Pitch Night 2 this was an online networking event for eager students and young entrepreneurs to pitch their idea for a jury, so they can get feedback on their projects/ideas. Ofcourse it was an online event because of COVID-19, so the network event was hosted through a zoom meeting. We went to the event expecting a lot of questions and feedback since we didn’t really have a worked out project, more like an idea at the moment. It was a great experience to watch and listen to multiple pitches and presentations. It really helped us to broaden our perspectives about how you can make a business plan out of an idea. So my team and me pitched our small business project as the 5th group. We got some good comments on our idea and we were told that this is really needed right now. That gave us some more confidence in our project. Next we got a lot of questions from a lot of different people in the meeting, which showed just how much we don’t have yet, but it was to be expected since we didn’t really work out any financial plans or a fully working business, it was really just to get some feedback from entrepreneurs on our idea. So we saw that we had a lot of work to do, but thanks to these different questions we knew what we had to start working on. We also noticed that we still have to work on how we present ourselves as a team and why we are the team that can realise this project. Next we got some cool tips from different entrepreneurs, one of them was that for our project it could be interesting to apply for subsidy. This is indeed a cool way of funding our project and we will definetly look into it. So, to conclude the event, we listened to a lot of pitches which broadened our perspectives about entrepreneurship and realising projects, we also got a lot of good questions to work on and got very good tips from different entrepreneurs. I recommend this event to anyone wanting to get feedback on their projects, because you can’t get enough feedback. Thanks for reading!
